Progressive Metal Sonic Narratives Beyond Boundaries

Zavitalis is a project that translates fleeting insights from everyday observations into instrumental progressive metal soundscapes. By generating musical fragments through AI and meticulously editing them in a DAW, the project weaves intricate narratives that blur the lines between music and storytelling. Each sonic clip refines the contours of an underlying story, with music and narrative mutually influencing each other, revealing the essence of phenomena through complex rhythms and textures.

Countless phenomena flow ceaselessly around me. A flock of birds gathering at a feeding ground, an insect perching on a leaf, plankton floating in a pond. People passing by on street corners, casual exchanges at store checkouts, events unfolding across the internet. All these phenomena overwhelm and captivate me endlessly.

Zavitalis is a project that expresses the "insights" born from such daily observations through music and narrative. Stories woven from a gaze that observes phenomena with detachment, avoiding emotional drama, take form as progressive metal with complex beats and polyrhythms, accompanied by serene prose poetry.

In the creative process, generative AI serves as a creative partner. Impressions gained from daily observations transform into musical fragments through dialogue with AI, which in turn inspire further stories. Through the careful editing and refinement of these fragments, we encounter new forms of "knowledge" that permeate our surroundings.

This project aims to share the "observer's gaze" that anyone can possess in their daily existence, through music and words. There are no grand statements or dramatic developments here. There is only a chain of surprises and discoveries lurking in the everyday, unfolding as a geometric soundscape.
